Financial Controller

Permanent, Full Time, Remote.

What you’ll do:

  • Project manage the transition of the business from Xero to Netsuite, including setting up processes and controls 
  • Be involved in, and responsible for, all financial duties and day-to-day accounting, including accounts payable & receivable, bank reconciliations, recording of all transactions in the accounting system, payroll processing and compliance, tax, reporting, regulatory filings and treasury
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, investor reporting packages and financial statements
  • Build and maintain detailed business models for budgetary and investor purposes
  • Maintain the company cap table and manage the share option scheme, including all regulatory compliance
  • Advise and lead on taxation matters, including R&D tax credit preparation, in coordination with external tax advisors
  • Liaise with external parties such as accountants and  tax authorities 
  • Research technical accounting issues relevant to the business and report to CFO on the impact
  • Continuously revise and re-design processes, internal controls and compliance to adapt to our rapidly growing business
  • Maintain an investor ready data room for due diligence purposes, working with the business to instil a due diligence ready mindset
  • Help maintain and cultivate the Entia’s positive culture

You must have:

  • An accountancy qualification, either ACA, ACCA or CIMA (full qualification essential)
  • Experience of working at a financial controller level in a small or medium sized organisation - preferably a high growth start-up
  • Experience of either implementing, or working with, Netsuite (essential)
  • Experience of proactively growing a finance function to support a scaling company through the development of processes, implementation of appropriate software, and automation where possible
