Head of People

We’re looking for a Head of People to join Entia. Your overarching responsibility will be to set the People strategy for Entia, driving it forward in line with Entia’s ambitious growth plans, and ensuring that we have the right people in the right place, at the right time. You will be the key custodian of our culture - developing and maintaining it as we grow.

What you’ll do:

  • Work closely with senior management to articulate and embed our mission, vision, purpose and core values
  • Use these to drive people-led initiatives to improve our ways of working e.g. company goal setting, hiring practices, motivation, performance monitoring, organisational design etc
  • Support the delivery of Entia’s strategy and balance commercial needs with empathy towards individuals to achieve the best outcomes
  • Be a shining example of leadership across Entia
  • Continuously look at restructuring and refining Entia so that we remain fit for purpose as we grow
  • Coach leaders across the business
  • Set and deliver a learning and development strategy, ensuring that people are continually developing their knowledge, skills and capabilities to support Entia’s growth and their own personal development
  • Build trusted relationships with individuals throughout the organisation
  • Help resolve and prevent individual or team performance issues
  • Setting the salary and remuneration policy in collaboration with the C-Suite; making sure that we have a fair and scalable approach to compensation
  • Advise on employment law issues
  • Manage a team comprising recruitment, HR and operations and when needed oversee its expansion

You have:

  • Previous experience working as a Head of People or people-focused leadership role in a start-up as it scaled
  • Preferably CIPD level 7

You are:

  • A strategic thinker, with the vision to develop a scaling organisation
  • Someone who has excellent and broad problem solving skills
  • An excellent communicator (storyteller) and relationship builder, you have empathy, are able to quickly establish rapport
  • Someone who has the confidence to speak their mind, act independently and challenge senior stakeholders when necessary
  • Someone with strong analytical skills e.g. how to derive insights from survey results, performance reviews
  • Someone who is quick to get something started and then iterate as needed
  • Organised, and methodical, with a good eye for detail
  • Someone with high emotional intelligence and who is a good listener, you are able to connect with different mindsets and are open to diverse perspectives in a both technical and creative culture
  • Eager to improve yourself, and actively seek out feedback and suggestions
